What is Investment Implementation?
Our mission is to ensure Bridgewater's investment intent is reflected accurately in outcomes for our clients. We are a team of 100+ investment professionals who implement Bridgewater's fundamental and systematic approach on a daily basis. This includes the generation of views on markets, the construction of portfolios that reflect those views, and the execution of all trades. Members of the Implementation team are responsible for overseeing every component of our investment process, which involves:
- Deeply understanding our investment intent and how it is systematically applied
- Designing, executing, and evolving business processes to ensure our logic is expressed accurately
- Partnering with our engineering and analytics teams to develop new solutions
What is the opportunity for summer interns?
We are looking for undergraduate students with an interest in financial markets and an affinity for designing and implementing systematic solutions. Interns will:
- Work on challenging Implementation projects with the potential to have real impact in Bridgewater's investment process.
- Train in a summer-long course designed to give each student a foundation in financial markets and Investment Implementation principles.
Top interns will receive full-time offers to join Bridgewater's Investment Implementation team following the successful completion of their degree.
