Speech/Language Therapist

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will provide speech and language therapy to students in multiple grade levels in accordance with the goals and specially designed instruction outlined within each student’s IEP. A current, valid Pennsylvania certificate for Special Education – Speech and Language Impaired is required. PA license for Speech/Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA is preferred.
Responsibilities
The speech-language pathologist is responsible for the diagnosis, prognosis, prescription, remediation and the intervention of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.  Responsibilities include providing small group instruction and support for students as outlined within their Individualized Education Program. Knowledge of Specially Designed Instruction, the MDE process, facilitation of IEP meetings, proficiency in understanding and addressing needs in areas such as language, articulation, fluency, voice, oral motor, phonological, alphabetic principle-phonics and social language disorders is required.

$285 per day
