Fall 2020 Communications Internship

It is crucial to ensure that women's voices are heard and women leaders are fully engaged on key policy decisions. At WFPG, we advance women's leadership and highlight their contributions through international issues and mentoring programs. A key player in broadening the constituency for international affairs, WFPG brings together participants from across disciplines and links women domestically and internationally. We believe that through highlighting women leaders in foreign policy, we provide important role models for the next generation and create a vital network of women from different sectors, generations, and backgrounds. 

COMMUNICATIONS & WEB INTERN: 
WFPG is looking for a specialized intern to focus on the WFPG e-newsletter, event invitations, social media, and webpage design/updates in addition to research and other general office duties. Communications interns also assist in production of materials for major fundraisers.

INTERNSHIP DUTIES:
Interns work with their coworkers on a variety of projects and tasks, ranging from program planning, to membership and fundraising outreach. WFPG communications interns work closely with programs interns on all programming and also have the opportunity to contribute to the organization’s email newsletter, website, and social media presence.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
Competitive candidates should have a demonstrated interest in foreign affairs and excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite & Internet research). Interns must possess outstanding office and phone manners, and excellent writing skills, in addition to being well-organized, punctual, dependable, flexible, attentive to detail, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Applicants for the Communications Internship should have a demonstrated interest and some experience with layout, design and relevant computer programs (basic understanding of photo editing, html coding, and social media platforms).

For the fall of 2020, all interns will have the option to complete the entire internship remotely. When the WFPG office reopens, they may also choose to work in person. At this moment, no reopening date is set.
