Safe Passage Team Lead (The Intersection of Equity in Education and Transportation)

 “There’s work and there’s your life’s work. The kind of work that has your fingertips all over it. The kind of work that you would never compromise on. That you’d sacrifice a weekend for.”
Apple, Inc.

The Safe Passage Team Lead is critical to Go Together, Inc.'s success as partner with DC Deputy Mayor of Education Strategic Initiative team and Mayor Bowser's Safe Passage Program.

What is Safe Passage?
Safe Passage is a district wide effort that focuses on three areas:

  • Safe Passage transportation and travel between home, school, and related activities;
  • Violence prevention in communities focused on better understanding why youth are experiencing violence, who the violence perpetrators are, and what can be done to prevent violence; and
  •  Safety in schools: the ongoing programming during and after school to make students feel safe in the school building
DC Safe Passage is about more than providing safe routes to school—it includes neighborhood safety and school safety as well.
