Web Development Intern
Amusements parks are meant to be fun, not stressful! We launched TraKid in 2019 to keep parents connected to their kids, no matter where they are in the park. Now we need your help. TraKid is a start-up tech company based out of Raleigh, NC. We have invented (and patented) a great solution to a surprisingly common problem - an average of 50 kids per day are separated from their parents in 400 of the largest amusement parks across the world. We think our wearable and a simple mobile app (for parents and for the park) is an easy fix!
As the Web Development Intern, you will work directly with our tech development team and delivery team to build, refine, update and implement changes to our public facing website.
What You Get To Do Every Day
- Work with the Customer Success Manager to customize the company Help Center.
- Work with our Cloud Architect to access small amounts of live data from our backend servers
- Maintain and build the public facing company website in wordpress (trakid.com).
- Be a leader, a follower, a helper, and a mentor to everyone on the TraKid team.
- While we are typically in-office for meetings Tuesday - Thursday, we are flexible to allow you to get the job done on your own terms remotely.
What You Bring to the Role
- Experience with wordpress or an enthusiastic desire to learn new technologies
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivation, strong attention to detail, and a sense of urgency around delivering on team goals. Ability to thrive in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment.
- You have the ability to collaborate and respectfully with others by listening, communicating clearly, and actively sharing knowledge.
- Result oriented and deadline driven.
