Marketing Intern for Holistic Health Clinic

Job Title: Marketing Intern

Duration of Internship: Fall 2020 Semester, 10 hours per week

Compensation: Stipend

Supervisor: The intern will be mentored and supervised by the business owner, who also manages the clinic's marketing strategies. The intern will additionally be mentored by the clinic's photographer/videographer.

Duties and Tasks: Gain hands-on marketing experience! Learn from our in-house team, research best practices, new trends and successful strategies, and refine your voice and aesthetic. Together, we will curate a curriculum fine-tuned to your personal marketing interests from the following list of duties:

SOCIAL MEDIA:
  • Write content and take or modify photos for posts, stories and other audience engagement
  • Research trends and best practices
  • Analyze user response

MANAGE AD CAMPAIGNS:
  • Recommend and make advertising campaigns for google, facebook and instagram
  • Analyze ad success

WEBSITE:
  • Create content for website that engages users and encourages new client acquisition
  • Enhance Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for website
  • Research websites in similar fields for inspiration, aesthetic appeal and themes

NEWSLETTER:
  • Write copy for newsletter
  • Analyze recipient response
  • Determine strategies to improve audience involvement, including best days and times for sending

Qualifications: The intern should be in their junior or senior year of college, studying business, marketing, health management or arts management. Must have good writing skills, familiarity with social media, desire to learn and do, and be available to work at least 10 hours per week during the academic semester for an internship for college credit.

Learning Objectives:
1.      Become proficient in the primary marketing avenues for small businesses.
2.      Research best practices and find compatible examples for small business and holistic health marketing, including websites, online ads and social media posts.
3.      Create content for website, newsletter, ads and social media.
4.      Learn strategies for writing engaging copy.
5.      Explore trends in online marketing.
