Description

TYPICAL ASSIGNMENTS

* Responds to written and telephone inquiries, using proper etiquette, from providers regarding their Delta records (dental and vision), processed claims and 1099 questions

* Responds to all questions related to a provider's record including specialty agreements and W-9 information

* Establishes electronic funds transfers (EFT) records when appropriate

* Establishes and maintains group practice records

* Researches inquiries by accessing the provider, National Provider File (NPF) and claims processing system and other resources

* Establishes and maintains all provider records

* Processes claims in the Provider Records electronic systems

* Operates office equipment which may include personal computer, photocopier, scanner, calculator, fax, etc.

Requirements

Bidding Requirements:
 
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
 
* Two years of work experience in an office environment.
 
* Ability to begin work at 7:30 a.m. or be required to work until 5:00 p.m. (rotating basis)
 
* Successful completion of a data entry test sponsored by Human Resources within the past 12 months / 7,000 keystrokes per hour with 95% accuracy (test waived if candidate currently holds or has previously held a CRT Operator position)
 
* Successful completion of a typing test administered by Human Resources within the past 12 months with a typing speed of 40 correct words per minute (minimum of 90% accuracy) (test waived if candidate currently holds a position that requires at least 40 correct words per minute.)
