Location: Remote
Compensation: $15/hr
Time Commitment: 10hrs/wk
Start Date: November 2020 (flexible)
 
Position
Leyline Renewable Capital is seeking a hardworking individual with a passion to learn, grow and provide support to the internal teams actively working to strengthen Leyline’s positive impact on environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) initiatives in the renewable energy space. As Leyline’s ESG Intern, you will help brainstorm, execute, and report on Leyline’s progress towards achieving ESG goals. As a qualified candidate, you will have experience or interest in learning more about renewable energy and will possess, or be willing to further develop, great communication, teamwork, reporting, and organizational skills.
 
The primary purpose of this position is to collect and organize company metrics among multiple teams into quarterly reports.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as Leyline’s ESG Intern will include:
·        Attending weekly meetings with the Leyline Addressing Racism Working Group and helping the group to formulate new ideas and projects to achieve company goals on expanding equity in the renewable energy space.
·        Compiling internal data and generating quarterly reports on ESG company progress.
·        Working closely with the Technical Services team within Leyline to understand the environmental goals of the company, including carbon avoidance.
·        Displaying and representing data in a meaningful and aesthetically pleasing way.
·        Developing organizational skills needed in a fast-paced professional office environment.
·        Building teamwork skills as the position will require communication and coordination among multiple teams at Leyline.
·        You will work closely with the technical, financial, and accounting teams at Leyline to develop your skillset and understanding within the renewable energy space.
 
Requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following minimum criteria:
·        Active interest in learning more about renewable energy.
·        The computer skills involved in creating reports.
·        The organizational skills to compile data from different teams and compile in a meaningful way with direction from internal Leyline teams.
·        A willingness to ask questions, take on responsibility, and take action towards meeting company ESG goals.
·        Positive attitude and a willingness to try things outside of your direct area of expertise with guidance from Leyline team members.

·        Company office is located in Durham, NC, but this position is currently remote. Relocation assistance is offered if the role were to move back to the Durham office.
