Fall Intern
Social Solutions is seeking an intern to work with our dynamic corporate team. Interns will work closely with staff across our support functions- business development, finance & accounting, human resources, operations, and project management- and gain exposure to all aspects of our professional services consulting work.
This position will be remote for fall/winter 2020 and may be based anywhere in the U.S.
Responsibilities
Intern tasks may include:
- Research funding opportunities from USAID and other U.S. government clients and relevant funders
- Engage with staff across support functions and identify ways to apply your academic and professional interests to those areas
- Organize event logistics, prepare meeting agendas and notes, and manage calendar invites
- Draft, edit, and proofread documents
Qualifications
Interns may be students pursuing either a graduate or undergraduate degree or recent graduates with the following knowledge, abilities, and skills:
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment while maintaining outstanding attention to detail
- Proven skills in the effective use of information technology (word-processing, spreadsheet, database, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to problem-solve, including being able to identify problems and make recommendations for resolving problems
- Capacity to manage and prioritize the tasks associated with a project or projects
- Prior experience working under pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to maintain a positive and respectful attitude
