Data & Analytics Business Development Representative

The primary focus of a Business Development Sales Representative is to generate demand for Smartbridge solutions and services through a mix of prospecting, qualifying (business development) and managing a sales pipeline, closing deals and maintaining relationships (sales) within the Data & Analytics practice.

Job Description:
The BDR will prospect into targeted business accounts in an effort to increase the productivity of Account Managers by qualifying accounts as potential revenue opportunities. In your role, you will act as the first point of contact for many prospects. You will be responsible for growing a sales pipeline through demand generation activities. The BDR will work closely with Management and the Marketing team to establish a pipeline expansion plan and to leverage specific marketing campaigns to penetrate target accounts. Sales methods will consist of a blended approach of account based marketing to penetrate a target list of accounts, as well as traditional prospecting. Ongoing lead nurturing and relationship development is required to support the creation of qualified opportunities. 

Ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of analytics, cloud data architecture, and data management as critical components of an organization’s ecosystem.
Additionally, the BDR will:
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets around qualified opportunities, pipeline generation and sales activities
  • Conduct research to generate qualified sales leads through various marketing intelligence tools
  • Drive qualified leads through cold demand generation, follow up on warm leads, and existing accounts
  • Set meetings with Director, VP, and C level Executives
  • Identify new prospects within our ideal customer profile, identify business needs and key contacts
  • Be proficient with delivering the high-level story of Smartbridge as the ideal digital transformation partner
  • Handle the execution of multiple sales campaigns simultaneously
  • Be able to manage time and work efforts with minimal supervision
  • Contribute to marketing and sales content creation
  • Attend local networking and professional events
  • Work with our partner network to set meetings and drive additional business
  • Clean and maintain sales data, adhering to CRM hygiene practices


Requirements:         

  • Minimum 4-year college degree with 2-3 years of sales lead generation experience. More years of work experience is acceptable in lieu of college degree.
  • Willing to travel up to 20% in the future (no travel at this time).
  • Ideal candidate will be familiar with concepts and leading technology vendors in the business intelligence, analytics and data management space. For example, Azure, Snowflake, Power BI, MicroStrategy, etc. Please elaborate on your experience with any of these in your application.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (such as Salesforce) is strongly preferred.
