Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Albuquerque, NM

Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for protecting assets through internal controls and SOP’s, help with daily accounting operations, including construction activities, budgeting, control costs, collections and analyzing monthly statements.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepares accurate and timely financial reports for all company operations including property level financial reporting, variance analysis and account reconciliations
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and internal controls
• Work directly with Property Management, Leasing/Brokerage and Development teams
• Monitor cash positions for company operations, prepare cash flow analysis, and assist in preparing budget forecasting
• Review tenant CAM reconciliations
• Provide analytical/due diligence support for property acquisitions and developments
• Assist in preparation of financial packages for prospective lenders and investors 
• Assist in organizing financial data for tax returns and sale tax returns 
• Help prepare property tax and personal property payments and analysis, property protests, all insurance renewals
• Completes all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Three (3) years of experience in finance, accounting, budget, cash management, credit, insurance, tax and treasury options
• General knowledge of accounting/financial systems  
• Specialized knowledge of accounting/finance principles 
• Commercial Real Estate accounting experience required
• Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office or similar software applications  
• Ability to perform advanced-level accounting and financial analyses
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written) required
• Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritize and manage time and workload
• Must be to work with sensitive and confidential material with discretion and confidentiality
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
• Must have a good driving record, valid, driver’s license, vehicle insurance and a reliable vehicle
