Our internship program is designed to provide meaningful work through hands-on, authentic, professional experiences.
 
About the Team
 
The recruiting team was established to support SWIB’s overall process in hiring the best and the brightest experienced talent to support SWIB’s mission to be a trusted and skilled global investment organization contributing to strong financial futures for the beneficiaries of the funds entrusted to us. We work hand-in-hand with our colleagues within the broader Human Resources division and consult daily with key stakeholders enabling us to objectively influence broader conversations surrounding how to attract industry-minded talent.
 
The campus recruiting coordinator is essential to the recruiting team and will play an integral role in supporting SWIB’s recruitment division. This position will be heavily integrated with candidate engagement as well as the behind the scenes programming that takes place in planning an internship program that hosts 20-23 students annually.
 
This role requires the ability to exhibit strong attention to detail coupled with the adeptness to exhibit a professional and hospitable demeanor. The coordinator will be scheduling candidate interviews for the Recruiting Director and interacting closely with the Human Resources/Campus Recruiting Associate, assisting with all campus recruiting activities for SWIB’s programming as well as working closely with external partnerships that support SWIB’s mission with key diversity initiatives. This position will begin in May 2020 and have the ability to extend past the end of August 2020 and move to part-time hours for the Fall/Winter campus recruiting season.
 
Essential activities:

  • Facilitate and assist with the intern program by working on tasks such as campus initiatives, educational speaker series, and intern pipeline recruiting efforts for both the undergraduate and MBA candidate level. Additionally, the candidate will have exposure to the pipelining of experienced hire staff.
  • Schedule video interviews with candidates and SWIB staff while moving candidates through the recruiting lifecycle within the ATS (Applicant Tracking System).
  • Post and remove job openings on the designated website/job board/career services site as determined in conjunction with the recruiting director to satisfy SWIB’s overall recruiting strategy.
  • Assist with planning and creation of the PowerPoint decks for Investment Treks during the Fall recruiting season.
  • Coordinate speaker biographies, photos, presentations and liaise with campus staff for SWIB guest speaker events.
  • Maintain a master schedule of campus activities for the SWIB team and project management as appropriate for timelines.
  • Ensure the candidate experience is positive, including scheduling interviews, preparing interview documentation, and updating the ATS with a keen eye for detail.
  • Update standard recruitment forms, templates, and documentation materials.
  • Create reports/metrics as needed and prepare presentations for management
  • Ensure the recruitment process is consistent, transparent, and fair and is compliant with SWIB’s affirmative action policy, EEO requirements, and employment law.
  • Additional projects as needed.
 
The Ideal candidate:

  • Ability to work in Madison, WI beginning late May/early June 2021 with the potential to stay through the Fall/Winter campus recruiting cycle on a part-time basis.
  • Undergraduate student with Human Resources, Communications, Business, or related major.
  • Familiarity with utilizing Handshake as well as GradLeaders.
  • Experience in creating marketing material and dashboards using programs such as Infogram or Canva preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Keen interest in the investment management industry preferred.
  • Excellent computer and application skills including MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience utilizing databases such as Newton/Paycor, Taleo, Kenexa BrassRing, or any CRM platform preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain highly confidential information.
  • Excellent analytic and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional ability to juggle multiple priorities and identify the most critical to driving to completion.
