Spring Intern, Content Marketing & Partnerships - Part-time

Position Summary:

SiriusXM + Pandora is looking for an intern to provide support for our Talk Partnerships and Marketing team. This position will assist the Senior Director with the management of SiriusXM's official partnerships with talk hosts, entertainment partners, news and politics partners and more. The Talk Partnerships & Marketing intern will help build out new promotions for talk content across multiple media platforms including satellite, digital, mobile, email and television. This person will actively work to ensure contractual obligations are met and identify and develop marketing opportunities with a goal of driving awareness and engagement of SiriusXM talk content. The intern will work across internal departments to project manage, execute against deliverables and foster strong relationships with various teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and submit creative briefs for marketing materials and brainstorm creative marketing ideas.
• Assist with internal and external approval process for marketing assets.
• Create presentations illustrating new content marketing opportunities.
• Track execution of contractual marketing elements from talk partners.
• Contribute to the development and execution of strategies and marketing plans which leverage talk programming in order to drive tune-in (consumption), reduce churn and drive sales/trial.
• Help gather cross-promotion information for talk programming.
• Identify, document and share trends in the partnership & marketing landscape.
• Meet with various departments to better understand how they work and their relation to one another and the overall company.
• Sit in on calls and meetings with talk partners around key initiatives.
• Assist with event planning and onsite activation logistics.
• Assist with administrative duties (scheduling, invoicing, travel arrangements, prize fulfillment, ticket allocations, and weekly status reports).
• Monitor and interpret data. Analyze customer response and effectiveness of all talk marketing initiatives & partnership campaigns.
• Maintain reporting, identify key insights and opportunities to increase efficiency and make recommendations accordingly.
• Daily tracking of partner promotion and SiriusXM promotion.
• Assist with event promotion and asset creation.
• Contribute creative programming ideas in weekly team meetings.
• Provide support to team with ad hoc programming and marketing requests.
• Generate ideas to target our subscribers and non-subscribers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Minimum Qualifications:

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
• Undergraduate degree applicants must have completed at least 2 years of a curriculum that includes marketing, media, and accounting.

Requirements and General Skills:

• An interest in talk content and programming.
• Excellent organization and project management skills.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess attention to detail.
• Ability to break down large amounts of information and communicate it out in a more digestible format.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the key players in the talk partnership landscape.
• Comfort with most social media platforms (IG, FB, TWT, SC).
• Willingness to take initiative and follow through on projects.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:

• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) a must, including advanced excel functions (pivot table, vlookup, filters, etc).
• Experience with content and/or digital asset management systems a plus.
