We’re looking for the next generation of talented undergraduates to join our team for an unforgettable 10-week internship. An internship at Pearson is an opportunity to bring your own unique perspective as a learner, together with your academic knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm, to help create products used by students like you.
As one of our interns, you will gain a comprehensive introduction to our business. You’ll be assigned to a team and work on real-life projects that bring our products and services to life. On the job training and professional development will be provided to enable you to contribute to the business. You’ll also have direct access to a senior member of the team, as each intern will be mentored to help you make the most of the ten-week program.

What Does the Internship Program Offer?
Successful candidates will spend 10 weeks working with our team.
You will be paid for the duration of your internship. The internship begins on Monday, June 7 and ends Friday, August 13.

Job description
  • Work with the Board Relations team in supporting the various Partner School relationships.
  • This includes:
  • Assist with creating form templates and meeting minutes, preparing and disseminating Board packages, tracking deliverables and documents for meetings and maintaining minute books and other Board records
  • Assist with coordination of large conference attendance and corresponding logistics, providing regular updates on conference attendance and logistics
  • Support Board member needs while attending conferences;
  • Support all aspects of Board meeting management in coordination with Board Relations team members;
  • Facilitate on-boarding and exiting of Board members;
  • Manage documentation in accordance with prescribed deadlines and meeting requirements;
  • Assist with processes and activities related to Board member communications;
  • Track completion of Board member’s required forms/filings, training, and credits;
  • Coordinate travel logistics for travel impaired Board members for required trainings/meetings;
  • Assist Board Relations team members in direct Board support as needed;
  • Assist with all aspects of training initiatives including document organization, drafting materials, coordination of travel, attendance of personnel, venue logistics, and material preparation;
  • Complete a final project for the internship;
  • Provide general administrative support for the department including processing invoices from external parties (i.e. Board Counsel invoices), preparing shipping labels, mailing and faxing documents, maintaining up-to-date contact information for all Board members; assisting Board members with expense report filings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What are we looking for in an Intern
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies or a related field
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to discuss any issues with a wide variety of individuals and groups
  • Creative and innovative skills with regards to knowledge and awareness of industry trends and digital advances as they relate to new opportunities and business needs
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply learning to problems or activities
  • A strategic thinker and listener who acquires good problem-solving techniques
  • An organized team player who can manage multiple tasks
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud and Office 365
  • Min 3.0 GPA
  • Graduation date between 2021 and 2023
