Neurodiversity Accessible Internship: Commercial Marketing Intern

This internship is accessible for neurodiverse early-career candidates. ‘Neurodiversity’ includes neurological differences such as autism spectrum, ADHD, and dyslexia. Applicants will not be asked for documentation or proof of neurodiversity unless requesting an ADA accommodation. This internship will be supported through the LiNC-IT program in NC (www.LiNC-IT.org) The LiNC-IT program is a collaboration of various NC state entities that supports Lenovo in their efforts to hire Neurodivergent candidates.

Project Overview:
The North American Commercial Marketing team is looking for an intern to help establish marketing benchmark reports and conduct analysis to inform strategic recommendations for our marketing programs in the coming year.
The ideal candidate will be excited by big data and analytics with a passion to provide insights to the business covering a wide range of topics. They will be responsible for conducting both recurring and ad hoc analysis for business users.
Responsibilities
• Review and understand the day-to-day issues that our business faces, such as transforming and analyzing data
• Extract, transform and analyze data related to business’ issues
• Develop clear visualizations in various BI platforms to convey complicated data in a straightforward fashion to a non-technical audience
•Assist in data analysis of marketing campaigns; propose recommendations and next steps to meet stated goals

Basic Requirements:
-Pursing a degree in marketing, data analysis or related field, or have graduated between 2019-2021
Preferred Requirements:
• Proficient in SQL and Excel
• Experience in Python/R/Qlik is preferred but not required
• High attention to detail
• Critical thinking and problem solving with a view to marketing programs, objectives, and recommendations
