The Opportunity

Denali is seeking an Intern for the Bioprocess Development group in Technical Operations. The
individual will optimize conditions for Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cell line generation for expression of complex therapeutic proteins. The candidate will get exposure to suspension cell culture, single use bioreactors, protein purification & analytics. This is a hands-on laboratory position with an exciting opportunity to get an overview of biologics process development and manufacture.

Responsibilities:
 
·     Work under supervision of Denali scientists to design, execute and interpret cell line development experiments
·     Perform experiments & analysis including single cell cloning, protein expression, purification & product quality analysis
·     Analyze results, write summary report and present work to Technical operations group

Position requirements:
 
·     Currently enrolled in BS or MS in Biology, Chemical Engineering or related field
·     Previous hands-on lab experience with mammalian cell culture including sterile technique is highly desired
·     Energetic, self-motivated with ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
·     Demonstrated ability to organize, analyze and interpret experimental data
