Associate Scientist, Formulation Development

What You Will Achieve
As an Associate Scientist, you will be at the center of our operations and you’ll find that everything we do, every day, is in line with an unwavering commitment to quality. You will be part of Pharmaceutical Research and Development team and will be responsible for performing analytical particle characterization of candidate formulations by using various optical and spectroscopic characterization techniques. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying extrinsic and intrinsic particle matter using various forensic techniques. You will be performing formulation and process development activities specifically for biotherapeutic products from pre-clinical and Phase I clinical trials through manufacturing process performance qualification, license application, and commercialization.
Your strong foundation in general scientific practice, its principles and concepts will help in meeting critical deadlines. You will be relied on as a technical contributor to assess the assigned tasks and make decisions that involve direct application of your knowledge.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Exercise and build basic team effectiveness skills {e.g., commitment, feedback, consensus management) within immediate work group.
  • Participate in developing parenteral formulations for biotherapeutic modalities, such as monoclonal antibodies, antibody drug conjugates, proteins and vaccines.
  • Perform rapid, comprehensive characterization of incumbent molecules to determine the stability profile and applying this information to develop an appropriate dosage form to meet clinical needs.
  • Review the laboratory experiments and other written records of fellow scientists.

Qualifications
Must-Have

  • Bachelor's Degree with 0-2 years of experience in a biochemical laboratory environment.
  • Industrial experience in parenteral formulation and process development of protein therapeutics.
  • Foundational knowledge working in a biochemical, chemical engineering or molecular biology environment.
  • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practice/ Good Manufacturing Practices requirements.

Nice-to-Have

  • Effective communication skills for interactions with laboratory scientists, project managers and colleagues from numerous functions, serving on multi-disciplinary project teams.
