Administrative Assistant

Are you well-organized with a broad skill set? Do you enjoy interacting with clients and the public? Would you enjoy working with a team of lawyers, counselors and social workers? We’re looking for an energetic professional who enjoys working with community members, volunteers and team members on a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities include:
-Answer phones: you’ll talk with volunteers, corporate partners, child welfare professionals, community members and clients, take messages and help clients with team resources (we have great clients!)
-Coordinate with community members who wish to donate items
-Sort, track and distribute in-kind donations
-Be the in-office point person for technology and coordinate with contracted IT consultants
-Purchase office supplies and printing materials
-Seasonally manage holiday giving tree and community partnerships
-Perform general office tasks such as processing mail, greeting volunteers and clients and organizing receipts
-Assist with staff meetings
-Conduct data entry and work on specific projects as part of a team
-Assist with event-related tasks

Qualifications:
This position is largely administrative with some opportunity for growth depending on your skills and interests. Trauma-informed training is useful and will also be provided. Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged to apply.

-College degree preferred
-Driver’s license, access to a car and auto insurance preferred
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
-Proficiency in Adobe InDesign or other Adobe Creative Cloud Apps a plus
-Must be able to listen empathetically and communicate with people from diverse backgrounds
-Must be able to multi-task and independently complete complex administrative tasks
-Must be customer-service oriented and have a friendly and upbeat demeanor
-Optional skills include graphic design, volunteer management and community outreach

This position is 30-40 hours/week and begins at $15/hour, with salary increases commensurate with skills and experience.
