Office Assistant

Job Overview:
The Office Assistant works behind the scenes to support the daily operations of the office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing incoming and outgoing mail, office supplies, postage machines, keeping working spaces clean and occasionally making deliveries or trips to the post office.

Job Duties:
  • Receives stacks of mail from carriers.
  • Maintaining and stocking office supplies.
  • Utilizes company software to look up client accounts in order to sort mail to the correct employees.
  • Load mail into bucket or cart for mailbox delivery on other floors.
  • Works closely with Office Manager on all mail items.
  • Uphold all policies and procedures for handling of mail.
  • Lunch and vacation relief for Receptionist.
  • Maintain breakroom and conference rooms daily.
  • Help with company vehicle maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Qualifications:
  •  Possesses strong organizational and clerical skills.
  • Demonstrates basic computer skills for data entry and client search.
  • Strong professional communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds of mail carrier boxes and load mail onto cart.
  • Ability to reach overhead.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
 
Work Environment:
Position is in an office setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions.
