Internship


Students who complete our internship program develop the necessary skills to succeed in marketing, public relations, hospitality, and event management. Learning from the President & CEO, Event Director, & Marketing & Parade Director, students will assist with all aspects of 10 events both public and private leading up to the 50th annual Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade. Including but not limited to digital marketing, guest management of 50-6,000 attendees, event set up and breakdown, on-site operational support, and act as a liaison with the community and a wide range of sponsors.

General responsibilities limited to assisting in these areas:
·        General office administration: answer phone calls, copy, input, filing, etc.
·        Press Releases to expose recent events or important information
·        Event logistics: a full line up of events from private by invitation only, free family day, largest black-tie ball in the area (900+ guests) and our signature boat parade with 100 entries and 12 miles of shoreline
·        Online marketing including updating website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and Blogs
·        Collect a file of all media exposure for Winterfest
·        Mass mailings
·        Processing ticket orders
The perfect candidate fits these needs:
• Outgoing and personable 
• Working Knowledge of a wide array of social media, including but not limited to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and blogs 
• Excellent writing and communication abilities including spelling and grammar skills 
• Computer Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher 
• Ability to multi-task 
• Organizational Skills 
• College Credit is required 

Time Requirement/Compensation: 
• One Full Semester 
• Minimum of 3 days per week (must include Friday) 9 am-5 pm
• Unpaid
