Insurance Carrier Administrator (Entry level)

Job Summary:
The Carrier Administrator will be responsible to develop and maintain key relationships with Insurance carriers to ensure reporting requirements and requests for information are completed in a timely and accurate manner. 

What You Will Do:
  • Proactively request policy values/data from insurance carrier partners for all inforce policies.
  • Review and analyze data received to ensure accuracy and upload into Client Reporting system.
  • Work independently to managed assigned workload and identify product and values related issues requiring additional attention, and work independently to resolve.
  • Communicate issues to internal associates and work with carrier to resolve discrepancies.
  • Serve as a resource for other team members and assist with insurance related questions or issues.
  • Work in a team environment building partnerships across departments at Newport Group.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Mathematics, Accounting, Finance and Business backgrounds are a plus.
  • Must have advanced MS Office skills, especially in use of Excel.
  • Must have strong analytical skills as well as written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with others, seek/convey information, initiate action, and adapt to change.
  • Must take ownership and initiative to ensure client expectations are met, including follow through, follow-up and understanding when and how to involve others.
  • Must have effective time management, project management and organizational skills as s/he will work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
