BOLI Account Manager

Job Description:
Newport has a great opportunity for an Account Manager for our BOLI team. The BOLI Account Manager will play an integral part of the client services team to plan, develop, deliver and service clients bank owned life insurance plans. Perform duties to provide accurate, relevant and timely monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc reporting for BOLI clients, working within the limits of established policies.

What You Will Do:
  • Develop and maintain full understanding of day to day workflow processes required for client plans assigned.
  • Collect all pertinent data from requisite sources, maintain knowledge of BOLI administration system and functions.
  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing maintenance and application of regulatory requirements for BOLI.
  • Research and resolve any issues concerning reports, investments, plan provisions and specific transactional activities
  • Participate in setting department standards, processes and procedures. 
  • Contribute to development of reports, materials and administrative standards for clients, and assist to implement changes as directed by supervisory personnel.
  • In addition, the BOLI Account Manager will prepare, review and deliver all plan periodic, regulatory and ad-hoc reporting. 
  • Perform quality control checks. Report to supervisor on client satisfaction, and any other items necessary to assure customer loyalty.
  • Support all administrative activities as needed for assigned client accounts.
  • Assist in facilitation of communication between the different business lines represented in the Newport Group client service team is for all assigned clients, including benefit plan administration, accounting services, legal, etc.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university 
  • 3-5 years of total experience within the banking or insurance industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles required
  • Insurance license preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months
 
 Preferred (but not required) education or skills for this role are
  • Series 6 license preferred
 
It is a requirement of this job to consistently report to work as scheduled, be on time, and remain at work for entire assigned shift.
