This is a full-time, limited duration employment opportunity for anyone to apply. Current State of Oregon employees may have an additional option as a job rotation. This position is represented by a union.

Limited duration positions are benefit eligible positions with a designated maximum length of service. This position is expected to last 24 months; however, it could end at any time or be extended.

What will you do?
As a Logistics Specialist, you will be the liaison between county emergency managers and local public health to facilitate supply needs. You will be responsible for developing processes and allocating protective equipment, testing supplies and general resource requests both external and internal as needed.

What are we looking for?
Requested Skills

  • Minimum requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
OR;
  • Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, to interpret complex policies or procedures, and to effectively communicate these to a select audience.
  • Ability to use technology in a remote setting.
  • Demonstrated lived and/or working experience building and stewarding positive relationships with diverse community groups, including communities of color, immigrant groups, Tribal governments, the disability community, and other traditionally marginalized communities. Strong facilitation, problem solving and coaching skills, with the ability to provide consultation and/or technical assistance.
  • Ability to and experience in presenting complex data to multiple types of audiences including workgroups, management teams, formal committees, stakeholder groups, and governing bodies.
  • Experience creating processes and detailed tracking tools for distribution and reporting.
  • Experience working within and promoting a culturally competent and diverse work environment.
