Leach Wallace Associates, Inc./Member of WSP, a consulting engineering firm, was established in 1990 with the purpose of providing comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and energy systems engineering design services for healthcare, institutional, commercial, industrial and governmental clients. This firm has since grown a field services division with the focus on higher education and health care services. These services include but not limited to Testing, Adjusting and Balancing, Critical Space Testing, Retro- Commissioning and Third-Party Commissioning. Leach Wallace’s corporate Headquarters is in Elkridge, Maryland between Baltimore and Washington, DC and currently has a branch offices in York, Pennsylvania.
 
Assistant Consultant - Electrical Engineer- Charlotte, NC
Introduction

Our Engineers work on high quality, high-profile, national and international projects. You will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out. WSP offers excellent growth opportunities: 
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Work within multi-discipline project teams to develop drawing and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners.
  • Service utility coordination
  • Power distribution
  • Lighting
  • Fire alarm
  • Low voltage infrastructure
  • Emergency power systems
  • UPS design
  • Construction Administration


Job Requirements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 0-1 yrs experience designing electrical systems for the built environment
  • Previous building design internship experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Knowledge of building and energy codes.
  • Interest in innovative design, specifically in renewable energies and sustainable, high performing buildings.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
