RISK MANAGEMENT SUMMER INTERN
The intern will gain work knowledge and experience in corporate risk management and department operation while supporting the department to achieve goals and objectives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Primary responsibilities listed in order of importance This position will participate in special projects and initiatives relating to one or more of the following – insurance, subrogation, workers’ compensation.
- Through rotations in the different areas of the department (insurance, subrogation, workers’ compensation), the intern will provide assistance with the preparation of: insurance policy renewals and/or audits and claim management materials.
- Must complete a written evaluation of the internship within 4 weeks of the internship completion date (i.e., name and contact information of the intern, school attending and expected graduation date, beginning and ending dates of internship, summary of work performed and outside meetings attended with what was learned
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications - Summary of knowledge, experience and education required .Rising Junior or Senior with a Major in Business Studies, preferably insurance related
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Some course work in Risk Management
- Ability to work remote, if required
- Microsoft Excel and Word
- Must provide own housing/travel
