Join us as our new Data Science Intern
As a Data Science Intern in Novozymes, you will join a team that covers a wide range of industries and support building up our digital infrastructure. You will be given the opportunity to learn what it means to perform industrial data science in real applications as it pertains to product development and scientific data.
Welcome to Agriculture and Biosolutions Digital Application Research
Joining an Application Research unit in Novozymes means working at the interface of science and business by turning concepts into real solutions that impact our world. You will be part of a cross-functional data science team that coordinates with colleagues around the globe to create better scientific innovation workflows that produce better products. This is a team that holds a passion for science, data, and creating solutions that better our world.
In this role you’ll make an impact by:
-Identifying opportunities for tool development to support research in a business area
-Assisting scientists in analysing experimental results
-Serving as a data advocate and promoting a data-driven company culture
-Exploring how data science tools can be used to improve innovation workflows
To succeed you must hold:
-Proficiency with relevant, de facto data science programming languages such as Python or R
-Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
-Familiarity with data analysis and modelling techniques like ANOVA, regression, and clustering
-Experience with version control systems such as Git
-Be enrolled in a BS, MS, or PhD degree program focusing in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
-Minimum 3.0 GPA (Please include on resume)
-Ability to work as part of a globally distributed team and possibly in a remote working environment
-Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

Summer Internships will last for 10-12 weeks, are full time, and will start in May 2021. To be considered for an internship, your resume and cover letter must be received by February 8, 2021. You will hear back from Novozymes by late February regarding your status in our process.
