Assistant Asset Manager

We are searching for an Assistant Asset Manager to join our growing team at Amico Lane, a fast-growing property management startup based in Washington D.C. Our company is looking to hire a personable, detail-oriented professional with a customer-first mentality to help us with a variety of requests and tasks that come from our condominium association clients. 

Your primary responsibility will be to support the team in solving and completing a number of different property management activities for our condominium association clients. You will start with a small portfolio of clients and expand as you learn the ropes with the goal to promotion to Asset Manager. The client work includes managing our client support email, addressing incoming phone calls, coordinating insurance and maintenance activities, going property site evaluate maintenance issues, and preparing budgets. The client support responsibilities demand a variety of thoughtful analyses and problem solving skills that is ideal for someone who wants to learn quickly about real estate in a fast-paced environment before potentially applying for an MBA.

Your Role: 

  • Monitor and respond to diverse client support requests 
  • Collect and organize the insurance renewal documents that we receive monthly for our clients
  • Help collect documentation as we on-board new clients 
  • Handle the office phone 
  • Own and innovate on internal office processes 
  • Meet vendors on-site at the properties 
  • On occasion, be available after-hours for client emergencies

About You:

  • You have a passion for providing excellence in customer service 
  • You have top-notch communication skills – both written and verbal
  • You are detail-oriented and pride yourself in being very organized (double and triple-checking is second nature to you) 
  • You thrive in an organized and fast-paced environment but are flexible in responding to change 
  • You are curious learn about the various steps and processes in property management  
  • You actively look for ways to make processes run more efficiently
  • You like building community, in particular in DC neighborhoods
  • You like real estate and enjoy learning about building maintenance 


Qualifications:

  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree
  • You have a track record of proven excellence in providing customer service
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Powerpoint, and Google Workspace Products 
  • Real estate experience or being, or having been, a homeowner in a condominium association is a plus but not a requirement
  • Must be able to work in DC 
  • Spanish skills is a plus but not required
