Automation and Hardware Quality Testing Engineer

Nanowear is the new standard-bearer for A.I-based remote diagnostics utilizing its proprietary cloth-based nanotechnology.  Nanowear will improve the quality of preventive medicine, practitioner productivity, and patient care through Nanowear’s connected-care platform. Nanowear's application spans opportunities across therapeutics and other industry verticals, including neurological monitoring, clinical and pharmaceutical research, and military and industrial safety

The role of our Automation and Hardware Quality Testing Engineer will include: 
·       Automation of sensor electronics fabrication, wearable health monitoring system fabrication 
·       Automation of hardware quality testing at pilot scale and large scale
·       Creation and implementation of quality systems SOP
·       Providing technical support to the contract manufacturers for automation at large scale
·       Set up and maintaining quality logs for finished goods
·       Technical report, SOPs and white paper writing
·       Working with the product development team to implement automation new sensor technology and testing methodologies
·       Domestic travel in USA to manufacturing sites in Midwest and Southeast to perform on-site testing, equipment installation


Education

  • MS or equivalent degree/certification in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar field


Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in process automation preferred
  • Prior experience in quality systems 
  • Prior experience in lab or manufacturing operations preferred


Skills

  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Test Development Methodology and Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Programming skills in Python, Java, Ruby, MATLAB or other automated testing platforms required
  • Ability to implement object oriented programming principles on a test bed
  • Design and construction of test beds for hardware quality checks
  • In-depth understanding of automation concepts such: Types of automation, Industrial IoT, Types of Control Systems
  • Awareness of different testing tools and techniques to be able to make best recommendations.
  • Technical writing for reports and SOPs 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Certification or coursework in Automation Testing or  Automated manufacturing preferred
  • Interest / desire to travel within the United States
  • Attention to detail
