Summer 2021 Human Resources Internship

What you’ll do: 
The summer internship provides students with challenging projects to kickstart your HR career and gain in-depth knowledge of the human resources field through immersive, on-the-job experience.  
Human Resources set the tone for culture, team member engagement, and customer service delivery to our team. The HR teams are the very touchpoint for over 17,000 people each day and growing. Within HR you can work on corporate initiatives or in service to our fulfillment center team members. Our HR team focuses both strategies and energy to ensure our internal customers are taken care of just as well as our external customers. Interns work in one of our key HR functions, including:   
  • Employee Relations 
  • Talent Acquisition  
  • Human Resource Business Partner
  • Learning & Development  
The internship also provides exposure to a fast-growing environment, professional development initiatives and direct mentorship. Experience summer in south Florida or Boston through networking and social events with your intern cohort and team members!  
  
What you’ll need:   
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Psychology, Communications or related field (juniors preferred, sophomores eligible), with intent to return to school after the internship concludes. 
  • Proven leadership experience, through academics, athletics or extracurricular activities 
  • Minimum cumulative GPA above a 3.0 in academically rigorous curriculum 
  • Strong, clear and concise oral and written communication skills 
  • An enthusiastic desire for working with people and resolving issues
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during the 10-12 week internship  
  • Currently authorized to work permanently in the US without sponsorship
  • Experience with Workday, Greenhouse, Service Now, etc. preferred
 
Employee Relations: You will be instrumental in conducting investigations and managing complex/escalated team member issues in close partnership with our legal team. Additionally, you will provide insight to Site and Corporate HRBP teams on employee relations matters and provide critical input into the formation, consistent application, and revision of policies across Chewy.

Sourcing/Talent Acquisition: Using market trends, insights, and competitive intel to create and execute effective sourcing strategies for current and future positions; not just where you’re going to find these people, but why and how. This individual will partner with key stakeholders to identify top talent for our rapidly growing e-commerce business. This role acts as a full-cycle recruiter who understands how to source quickly and creatively, while always keeping candidate experience top of mind.

Human Resource Business Partner: You will partner with leaders to drive performance and talent management initiatives and will provide the Merchandising Organization with strategic and tactical HR support. You will implement new talent programs and interface with leaders at a variety of levels, all while helping to build the HR team that will scale with Chewy as it continues to grow.

Learning & Development: We are looking for talent with to support designing and delivering learning solutions to drive consistency, implement technology solutions, and advance strategic priorities. This role will provide project management around defining a learning technology strategy to support a blended curriculum and then implementing that strategy.
