- Review recent patent/non-patent literature on preferred Proton Exchange Membranes from a market and technology perspective
- Provide market scouting on possible membrane sourcing differentiating by their properties, costs and availability
- Provide Market Analysis
o Long list of suppliers
o Company contact and high-level structure (HQ, production facilities, R&D, etc.)
o Year of foundation, PEM materials offering year
o Annual sales in M €
• Shortlisting according to the following criteria/attributes:
o Membrane structure (base and tailored e.g. embedded recombination catalysts, reinforcements, surface activation for coatings, etc.)
o Cost
o o Technology Readiness Level
o o Normalized conductivity
o o Tensile strength (as a function of temperature in water)
o o Thickness
o o Ionic resistance
o o Equivalent weight
o Manufacturers production capacity - < 20,000 m2 preclusive
The candidate will also conduct interviews with selected suppliers.
