Instructor

The College of Media, Communication and Information (CMCI) at the University of Colorado Boulder is seeking outstanding candidates for two instructor positions to begin in August 2021. 

These part-time (50% time) faculty positions will support the required CMCI undergraduate course, CMCI 1040: Foundational concepts & creativity in MCI and CMCI 2030: Thinking across CMCI disciplines during the 2021-22 academic year.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Teaching load for these half-time positions is equivalent to 4 courses per academic year. 

During the fall semester, each instructor will support CMCI 1040, teaching 4 recitations, attending lectures, and guest-lecturing as appropriate. 

During spring semester, instructors will teach in CMCI 1040 or 2030, and may be assigned teaching duties in their host CMCI department, in consultation with CMCI’s Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and Research.

What We Require

  • A minimum of four years of doctoral-level education in one of CMCI’s allied fields in media, communication and information.
  • Prior experience and proven success as a teaching assistant and/or instructor in one of CMCI’s allied fields.
