Investment Banking Analyst

Position Summary: An Analyst at Berkshire Global Advisors is introduced to the basics in transaction and valuation responsibilities. This includes target buyer analysis, comparable transaction analysis, financial modeling and forecasting, drafting of documents, performance of due diligence and post-transaction analysis. Berkshire Global Advisors fosters an environment of teamwork and entrepreneurship in which Analysts maintain a high level of contact with clients and have the opportunity to be directly involved in the structuring of transactions. Though no prior experience is necessary, strong mathematical and writing skills are helpful. Analyst must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage their time efficiently. Travel and flexibility concerning work hours are also necessary elements of the position.

Major Responsibilities: Transaction/Valuation Responsibilities

Target Buyer Analysis - Identify the universe of potential buyers for a company Berkshire Global Advisors is representing using parameters developed with the Partner heading the transaction. Several on-line and printed databases are used in a target buyer search to develop this universe. Screen and prioritize prospective buyers in preparation.

Comparable Transaction Analysis - Analysis involves identifying acquisitions in the industry, finding as much financial data as possible on the acquisitions and analyzing the acquisitions to help develop valuation parameters for the client company. Once again there are a number of on-line and hard copy databases which are accessed by the Analyst to help develop the acquisition analysis.

Public Company Comparable Analysis - To help assess a client company's financial performance and to provide valuation information, analysis of similar publicly traded comparable companies is completed.

Financial Modeling/Forecasting - The Analyst will input historical data and develop financial projections.

Drafting of Documents - The Analyst will assist in drafting documents.

Due Diligence - The Analyst will assist the Partner in due diligence of a client company from an analytical and financial information gathering perspective. This entails creating information request lists and gathering information from company representatives.

Post-Transaction Analysis - From time to time, financial updating and analysis will be required for a company after a transaction has been completed. The Analyst will support the appropriate officer in these activities.

General Responsibilities:
Updating General Financial Information - The Analyst will update, on a regular basis, general industry trends and market trends used in Berkshire Global Advisors marketing presentations and publications.

Financial/Industry Analysis - From time to time, Analysts are asked to execute specific projects that require industry research and financial analysis.

Database Management - The Analyst will be familiar with all Berkshire Global Advisors databases and where to access the appropriate information as well as keep current with the development of new databases and resources on the internet that may be useful in Berkshire Global Advisors responsibilities.

Job Qualifications:
1.Bachelor's degree
2.Experience in the field or a proven desire to work in IB
3.Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office products
4.Excellent writing skills
5.Excellent communication skills
6.Experience managing and/or training others
7.Good time management skills
