Private Equity Analyst

Strattam Capital is seeking to add an Analyst to our team in Austin, Texas. Strattam Capital, founded in 2014, is a private equity firm that takes an innovative and focused approach to investing in high-potential companies within the business information technology market. Strattam Capital is investing out of its second fund and has more than $450 million assets under management. Strattam’s team has decades of technology and private equity experience from world-class private equity firms, including Oak Hill Capital, KKR, HGGC and GTCR.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Analyst will assist in all aspects of the firm’s activities, including transaction screening, due diligence and execution of new investment opportunities and operational engagement with existing portfolio companies, with specific responsibilities including:
• Screening and evaluation of new investment ideas
• Completing due diligence on companies, management, customers, competitors and markets
• Preparing valuation analyses and financial models for investment opportunities
• Assisting in the writing of internal investment committee memos
• Assisting in the preparation of materials for reporting to limited partners
• Engaging with portfolio companies on specific operational initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
Strattam is a lean team, requiring Analysts to be extremely proactive within the firm. Hustle and grit are a must. Potential candidates should possess the following:
• High GPA from a world class university
• Internship experience from a top investment banking or management consulting firm
• Exceptional analytical skills and detailed understanding of the three financial statements
• Ability to research and synthesize industry data, metrics and reports
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Relevant experience from coursework in accounting and finance
• Interest in technology
• Experience working regularly in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Ability to travel
