Diversity Equity & Inclusion Director
Hiring range: $112,000 - $137,000/Year D.O.Q.
The City of Fayetteville is currently recruiting for a Diversity Equity and Inclusion Director to plan, direct, manage and oversee the internal and external activities and operations of the Department of Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) including training, counseling, and research; to oversee and direct the coordination of assigned activities with other City departments and outside agencies; and to provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Assistant City Manager to include functioning as the ADA Coordinator for the City and EEO Compliance Officer for Transit (FTA/FAA mandates).
Eight years of increasingly responsible experience in all phases of DEI or human relations administration, and four years of administrative and supervisory responsibility. Public sector experience preferred.
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in diversity and inclusion, public or business administration, human relations, human resources, industrial relations or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
LICENSING & CERTIFICATIONS:
Certified Training Facilitator (CTF) or Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Certification.
From the time of closing, the selection process is anticipated to last 4 - 6 weeks. The process may include, but is not limited to, an assessment center and panel interview with the selected candidate being subject to a pre-employment drug screen, background check and driving history check.
