Intern CS Professional Services

Principle Duties and Essential Functions:

Lab (Fishbowl as we call it) is the heart of many things we do here in customer services. With over 50+ network elements across our Optical, Ethernet, and Synchronization devices, multiple activities take place in the lab on any given day.

The primary responsibility of the Intern will be to work with the much experienced professional services engineers to improve lab network and create efficiency by automating certain network configurations. This can be achieved by scripting repeatable tasks and creating library for a set of  configuration commands.

You will code and see it work in networking products that will improve deployment practices based on business needs.

Other Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Code (Phyton, VB, Java) application based activities and technical specification
  • Perform network unit tests
  • Continuous development of personal knowledge and skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • 3rd or 4th year student from Computer Science or Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunications/ Informatics engineering
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Ability to work at least 20 hours per week
  • Desire and ability to gain new knowledge
  • Experience in Phyton, VB, and Java
