2022 Summer Internship Development Program - Reams Asset Management

Who We Are
Reams Asset Management is a fixed income investment management firm serving the institutional marketplace. The firm was founded in 1981 and has ~$22.5bn in assets under management across 8 fixed income strategies. Reams is an affiliate of Carillon Tower Advisors, Inc., a subsidiary of Raymond James Financial, Inc., since November 2017. Reams invests across domestic investment grade bonds and high yield credit, as well as foreign currency, foreign sovereign bonds, and derivatives.

Opportunity
Reams is actively looking to grow its full-time staff of investment, operations, and data analysts. We utilize our internship program to find and develop promising future full-time professionals for these three areas.

Summer Analyst Program
Our Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week internship designed to provide you with an exciting and immersive experience which mirrors life as an analyst at Reams. You will have real-world responsibilities over the summer, as well as participating in professional development and networking events.

The program covers fixed-income markets, economics, portfolio management, implications of central bank policies, and functions ancillary to the investment process. A trading competition will allow you to test your understanding against your peers and Reams colleagues. At the end of the session, the incumbent will enjoy a broad understanding of the investment management industry. The program’s final deliverable will be a value-added quantitative model/tool for use in securities
research, portfolio management, data infrastructure, trade reconciliation, or risk monitoring.

Reams is looking for motivated, naturally curious thinkers with an interest in capital markets who can learn and thrive in a collaborative environment. Typically, Reams targets undergraduate and master’s degree candidates currently in their second-to-last year of study with a focus in finance, data analytics, computer science, or other quantitative fields.

Development
Each intern will work with a mentor and collaborate with other interns on one or more projects through the session to develop solutions. Students will become familiar with Bloomberg, Microsoft Office, Jupyter Notebooks, Python, and other technologies.
