We’re looking for the next generation of talented undergraduates to join our team for an unforgettable 10-week internship. As one of our interns, you will gain a comprehensive introduction to our business. You’ll be assigned to a team and work on real-life projects that bring our products and services to life. On the job training and professional development will be provided to enable you to contribute to the business. You’ll also have direct access to a senior member of the team, as each intern will be mentored to help you make the most of the ten-week program.

What Does the Internship Program Offer?
Successful candidates will spend 10 weeks working with our technology teams.
You will be paid for the duration of your internship. The internship begins on Monday, June 6th and ends Friday, August 12th, 2022.

Job Description
As an Intern with Content Authoring Platform team, you will have an opportunity to work on challenging problems that will have profound impact on how content creators generate content.
You will get an opportunity to work with skilled team of software engineers and assist in implementing new features and write unit test cases. You will also be working with technical leads and will gain practical experience with a wide variety of software engineering tasks and technologies.
What does the 10 weeks involve?
Interns will develop a broad knowledge of Software Development at Pearson. You will have an opportunity to work with teams from all over the world. An ideal fit for this role would be a person who can thrive in fast paced environment willing to take on new challenges.
You will get an opportunity to work on projects that are already in production. You will have an assigned mentor who will help you with your assignments. Our development environment uses AWS infrastructure, React, Node.js, JavaScript, Java, Git (Bitbucket), Jenkins. You will also get an opportunity to work on product built using design pattern Micro Frontend, Microservice’s.
Minimum Requirements
  • We look for Students pursuing a STEM degree with background in software development or relevant experience.
  • We prefer students pursuing a degree in computer science, cyber security, software engineering, information security, engineering, or technology.
  • Students having hands on development experience in JavaScript, java is preferred but not required.
  • A strong desire to learn and accept new challenges within a collaborate team context.
  • Graduation date between December 2022 and May 2024 and should be within driving distance of office location.
