Manager, Software Development, R&D, IQVIA RDS Inc., Durham, NC. For clinical trial domain, manage the software development team as it works in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization, ensuring the integration, coordination, timing, and consistency of requirements and development processes. Lead the team to implement, support, and maintain the company’s software products, using full software development lifecycle and the following technologies: C#, Advanced SQL Server, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Angular, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), Windows Workflow Foundation (WF), Service Oriented Architecture, and RESTful API. Oversee recruitment, training, performance and development of the software development team. Utilize extensive software application knowledge resulting in hands-on software design and development, software selection, and infrastructure selection. Define and ensure company policies and procedures are in compliance with SOP’s and 21 CFR Part 11. Integrate patient randomization and drug supply management within interactive response technology system, delivering strategic initiatives. Drive enterprise software development best practices including DevOps, unit testing, peer reviews, automated builds and agile SDLC. Define strategy and drive roadmap for R&D in collaboration with Product Management. Supervise 8 subordinates (Team Lead – Software Engineer, Sr. Software Engineer R&D (3), Software Engineer, Senior Database Developer, Sr. Test Automation Engineer and Team Lead). Work M-F 8 a. – 5 p., 40hrs/week with occasional night and weekend work necessary.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field or foreign equivalent and eight (8) years software development experience to include three (3) years: managing and leading software development and servicing internal and external customers in various locations; SQL Server Database Administration and databases optimization; and managing development of SaaS or mission critical systems.
