Forecasting Analyst - Academy Leadership Development Program - Summer 2022 Cohort

Who are we?
The Academy is a unique leadership development program consisting of professionals early in their career who possess a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. From pharma to healthcare payers and providers, our team comes from all areas of the healthcare system. Not experienced in this industry yet? You’ll fit right in too, as our program is designed to upskill new team members from other disciplines such as data science, engineering, economics, and finance to name a few. Many team members come to the Academy with a foundation in data analytics while others have a strong desire to build skills in tools such as SQL and Tableau.

Our diversity allows us to meet the wide variety of client needs, but there are similarities across our team too: we are intellectually curious, ambitious, and hard-working. We love to collaborate, learn from each other, and go above and beyond for both our clients and the Academy program. Most of our members complete training and then help to recruit later cohorts, develop new training sessions, and lead internal initiatives that contribute to our evolving culture. Our Academy management team consists of senior team members that went through the training program themselves, dating back to the original 2013 cohort.

What is the Academy?
The Academy is located within the Commercial Outsourcing Services (COS) team of IQVIA. Professionals joining us are assured of a rewarding career in healthcare data analytics and consulting with an industry global leader. Opportunities to address diverse and challenging problems of the healthcare industry, directly manage client relationships, interact with senior leaders, and gain exposure to a truly multi-cultural, collaborative work environment abound through the Academy and your broader career at IQVIA.

The Academy begins with an intensive 12-week training period to prepare its members for client-facing roles with IQVIA’s pharmaceutical clients. During this full-time training, you will hone your data analytics and consulting skillset through a combination of classroom-based lectures, interactive case studies, hands-on working sessions, client role-playing scenarios, and real-time project shadowing/support. As a result, you will develop a strong network consisting of internal IQVIA leaders, subject matter experts, and countless other Academy alums.

With this significant support and investment from IQVIA senior leadership, you will develop an elevated technical, analytical, and communication skillset to successfully support the delivery of integrated healthcare analytics and technology solutions specific to the evolving business needs of IQIVA’s clients.

How does the Academy/COS fit into IQVIA?
IQVIA is the world’s leading information, services and technology company dedicated to making healthcare perform better. The COS team primarily supports pharmaceutical clients in using IQVIA data and technology to its full capacity. Projects will primarily consist of workstreams and efforts related to the forecasting space.

Location: The Academy onboarding program (~12 weeks) is typically located in our IQVIA Plymouth Meeting, PA office, which is where our team is based. Due to COVID-19 protocols, our 2021 cohort will be conducted remotely (subject to change).

Client forecasting projects are dependent on need and can vary from short-term, remote support to long-term, full-time engagements onsite at the client. After the initial onboarding period, Academy members can expect to be fully allocated to client projects and must be available to relocate anywhere in the United States for at least the first two years within the role (pending COVID-19 protocol; for the time-being, most client-facing work is being conducted remotely).
