Corporate Intern - Sales Training and Development

First Citizen’s Bank offers an exciting summer internship program that provides development opportunities and hands on work experience while creating a talent pipeline for the Bank. Our interns will apply classroom knowledge in a corporate environment while making a positive impact across the organization and the communities we serve. We are excited to offer a summer 2022 internship in our Sales Training and Department. This intern will experience the following:
 
  • Develop insights using internal and external data and identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and adoption of sales training and development.
  • Provide analytical, process and project management support for sales training initiatives.
  • Assist with sales curriculum review to ensure sales objectives are being addressed consistently across all courses.
  •  Research and report on sales training tools and trends in the financial industry and other sales organization. 
In addition each Intern will be given the following opportunities:
  • Assigned a manager who can help guide them through the program on a daily basis.
  • Assignment of a mentor to facilitate a broader view of the Strategy Office.
  • Participation in unique banking related training events.
  • Involvement in networking and teambuilding events.
  • A project designed to improve a defined process within the Strategy Office will be assigned to each Intern to plan and execute during the internship.
  • A wrap-up presentation will be prepared by the Interns to be shared with the Chief Strategy Officer and other key leaders in the company to outline their accomplishments and experience during the internship.
Responsibilities
  • While a majority of the principal accountabilities are assigned by the intern's direct manager, there is a determined effort across the Bank to make each intern a dynamic part of the team with interesting projects. Accountabilities can and may include areas such as research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, as well as technology enhancements and support.
  • Each intern will be assigned a project which will be designed to improve a specific process. A wrap-up presentation will be prepared by the Interns to be shared with the division leader and other key stakeholders in the company to outline their accomplishments and experience during the internship.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Enrolled (during the time of the summer program) as a rising Junior, Senior, or Master's Program at an accredited four year institution, majoring in Analytics, Statistics, Business, Accounting, Economics, Psychology, or Political Science
Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program

  • 3.0 minimum GPA
