Contracts Analyst Intern - Remote

The Corporate Contracts team supports the domestic (U.S.) commercial activities of three CONMED business units by providing reporting, price strategy, legal expertise, and project management assistance regarding our major national customer relationships. We are seeking an Intern to join our team during summer 2022.

The Corporate Contracts Intern will gain an overall understanding of the medical device industry and commercial customer contract lifecycle management. They will also gain valuable technical skills using Microsoft Excel, and some familiarity with databases and business analysis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student to experience the commercial business world more broadly, as they will come away with a nuanced understanding of how sales, marketing, and business intelligence interact at the process level.

Intern Responsibilities:
  • Create and analyze numerical sales data, request for proposals, and other various special sales projects based on data retrieved from information systems in accordance with company policies and procedures. Requires knowledge of Excel, Word (Microsoft), PowerPoint Presentations, etc., and requires an acute attention to detail.
  • Provide input on the development and implementation of departmental processes and procedures.
  • Create reports to be distributed to company representatives, outside distributors and other essential contacts. Reports could include new pricing for awarded contracts, pricing addendums, expiration reports, extended contracts, and special projects for programs.
  • Assist in contract reporting and interfacing with other departments to gather information to complete assignments.
  • Complete special projects and requests, and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:
  • Pursuing completion of a bachelors or master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • An interest in the Medical Device or Life Sciences industries
  • Must be available to work remotely, 40 hours per weeks, Monday – Friday throughout the summer internship program (May 31 – July 29, 2022)

Disclosure as required by Colorado law, the hourly pay rate range for this position is $15.00 to $27.00. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill level. The hourly pay rate range is CONMED’s good faith belief at the time of this posting.
