Investment Banking Analyst

England & Company, an investment bank focused on the middle market, seeks first-year analysts for its Washington, DC office. 

Since 2002, England & Company has provided high-quality M&A advisory, restructuring advisory, and capital raising services to growth companies in the energy, healthcare, and industrial technology markets. Additionally, through England Capital Partners, we selectively participate as principal in LBOs and venture capital financings. The senior professionals of England & Company are experienced investment bankers and private equity investors.

Analysts at England & Company work on a wide range of advisory assignments (including M&A, financial restructurings, and equity and debt financing transactions) within our industry sectors. England & Company offers analysts a unique opportunity to work side-by-side with senior investment bankers, entrepreneurs, private equity investors, and the corporate development teams of publicly traded companies. Analysts participate in small deal teams on significant strategic assignments, gaining meaningful exposure to virtually all elements of a transaction from initial marketing to closing. Our analysts rapidly assume a high level of responsibility.

Our full-time Analysts are responsible for: 
  • Preparing presentations to clients and prospective clients
  • Developing and refining financial models, valuation metrics, and strategic business alternatives
  • Conducting industry and capital markets research and analysis
  • Researching acquisition / takeover / investment targets for clients
  • Participating in due diligence for the firm’s clients

The ideal candidates will have the following attributes:
  • Bachelor's degree from a top undergraduate institution with a solid GPA
  • Strong accounting and finance skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamwork and leadership skills
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Unquestionable honesty and integrity

England & Company seeks a two-year commitment from all incoming analysts. Upon completion of the program, a select number of analysts may be invited to stay on for a third year or longer.
