Investment Banking Summer Analyst

Position:

LUMA is currently seeking an Investment Banking Summer Analyst for our firm in New York City. Applicants should be able to work directly with senior and junior bankers. 


Job Description:

Summer Analysts at LUMA and are exposed to a variety of investment banking activities. They will have significant exposure to both senior and junior bankers at the firm and will come to understand the day-to-day activities of the firm. Primary responsibilities include preparing industry and company research, development of pitch presentations, and assisting in the development of financial analysis. Summer Analysts are also encouraged to take advantage of LUMA’s visibility in the ecosystem to participate in industry events, meet new companies, and develop their own relationships as they continue to advance in their careers.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics (or other relevant field) with an expected graduation of Winter 2022 or Summer 2023
  • Prior internship experience in investment banking, corporate development, or corporate finance preferred
  • Live in New York City area or willing to relocate
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Google Docs/Apps; Dropbox
  • Attention to detail, commitment, initiative, maturity, and a willingness to take ownership of projects
  • Desire to be involved in a fast-paced, high performance work environment and a willingness to work long hours
  • Excellent academic record at a top university
  • Experience with technology and/or media companies is valuable, but not required
