Job Description:
Layer 7 is seeking an Analyst for immediate start. The employment would be structured as an intern-to-hire, with an eight-week paid internship that would lead to potential immediate full-time employment.
An Analyst with Layer 7 is responsible for the following:
- Extensive financial modeling of various transaction scenarios
- Valuation analysis including public comparables, M&A comparables, DCFs and LBOs
- Preparation of pitch materials for clients
- Assisting in the development of transactional strategies
- Extensive interaction with the senior management of the firm, client representatives and counterparties
Requirements:
- Excellent academic background, with a strong preference for top-tier schools and grades
- Prior investment banking or accounting experience a plus
- Strong work ethic, leadership, quantitative, teamwork and communication skills
- A desire to be part of a small, entrepreneurial firm, and the ability to learn complex concepts quickly without formal instruction
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
