Communications Intern

Internship opportunity with Mott Haven Fridge Network

This paid internship is funded by the Cultural Engagement Internships program and is only available to students at Fordham College at Lincoln Center and Fordham College at Rose Hill.

Communications Associate Intern
10-15 hrs / week
Format: virtual

Start Date: Wednesday, February 2
End Date: Thursday, May 26

Org Description:
Founded by two sixth grade teachers during the pandemic, Mott Haven Fridge Network is a Bronx-based hunger-fighting organization whose mission is to expand dignified access to food in the heart of historically under-resourced communities.  We are building a growing network of volunteer drivers who pick up excess food and bring it to hyper-local, community-run sites.  Our lean, community-based, volunteer-driven approach allows us to reach recipients that other approaches don’t both while reducing the high costs typically associated with food rescue operations and dramatically lowering food waste at each site.

We just received our 501(c)3 tax-exempt designation on December 1, and we’re so excited for you to join us for our next evolution!  Let’s put food insecurity…on ice!
