This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful research team and to help define and drive solutions for clients and patients! As an intern you will have the opportunity to learn about the role Library Services plays in helping the company provide quality products to clients. You will learn a variety of tasks commonly performed in a corporate medical library setting.

The internship is a 10 week position to provide support for multiple projects (including ‘live’ projects) under supervision, with tasks varying to degree by project and participate in targeted self-improvement projects. The Team 
Our Library Services team has a combined 34 years of experience. The mission of Library Services is to obtain, maintain, and search for information that will assist Evidera staff in the delivery of quality products to their clients.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting team members with designated tasks that drive the overall objectives of the function
  • Participating in departmental and/or organization wide special projects aimed to achieving annual priorities
  • Attending and participating in meetings and conference calls
  • Participating in training sessions relevant to your designated functional area
  • Other ad-hoc tasks under the direction of the PPD supervisor
  • Assisting with upkeep of the Library website- specifically the search string repository and instruments repositories.
  • Creating training videos pertaining to various Library topics.
  • Medline, Embase , PsycInfo and Cochrane database searching and search string translation.
  • Creating a list of HTA instruction manuals for staff use.
  • Assisting with occasional reference questions.
  • Assisting with article retrieval as needed.
  • Creating a list of guideline organization tools/questionnaires webpages.

Job Qualification


Education and Experience:
  • Must be enrolled in a MSc Library Science program
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Good English and grammar skills
  • High level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
