1. a cover letter;
2. a résumé, and;
3. a response to the following writing prompt (400 to 600 words):

“Inflation has gotten to levels that are far higher that most consider acceptable. Many economists, most notably Larry Summers, have argued that the Federal Reserve Board needs to follow a path of aggressive rate hikes, pushing the unemployment rate much higher, as a way to bring inflation under control. Others main that inflation is already slowing and that the rate hikes taken to date, with modest further hikes, should be sufficient to bring inflation down to a reasonable pace. Which side is right?”

The search committee aims to make a decision within four weeks of the deadline of the application. If you have any questions, please email cepr[at], the contact for the Domestic Intern Search Committee. Absolutely no calls or faxes, please.
