Student Assistant for Office of Education and Training

Job Description:   This student role will intern with us to develop skills as a research administrator, and through assistance on various projects, will gain the knowledge and abilities to apply for a more permanent role as a research or business administrator. This role will primarily be assisting the Department of Psychiatry Grants and Contracts specialist with routings, other pre-award duties, and post-award responsibilities. The student will observe administrators at work and help with certain projects to learn skills in HR, finance, and research administration.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a current student taking at least 6 credit hours (undergraduate) or 3 credit hours (graduate)
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word Must be dependable, detail-oriented, flexible, organized, willing to learn, possess the ability to multi-task, and have a professional demeanor.
  • Must have solid written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally via telephone and email.
 
Length of Employment: 09/01/2022-08/31/2023
 
Remarks: The Student Assistant commits to showing up for work diligently and punctually, maintaining honesty around their work duties, performing assigned tasks, following directions, taking initiative, maintaining reliability, confidentiality, checking work for thoroughness and accuracy with attention to detail, and interest in learning new skills, especially mandatory computer skills. Ideal candidates will be willing to work up to a maximum of 25 hours weekly.

Pay Range: $15.00/hour
