Asset & Wealth Management Technology Finance Associate

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) Technology Finance is an integral part of a larger Finance and Business Management (F&BM) organization that supports the CIO and respective organization within the AWM Line of Business (LOB) at JPMorgan Chase & Co. The team’s range of activities is broad and includes, but is not limited to, semi-annual capital budgeting/planning and monthly close activities as well as ad-hoc reporting and analytics for headcount, travel & entertainment and other metrics/KPIs/OKRs as designated by management. 

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include the oversight of monthly financials, allocations, CCAR and analysis and/or production of a variety of financial/management reports for Asset Management Technology. In addition, the role will assist in the semi-annual budgeting and strategic planning processes and support the team’s management information systems infrastructure to ensure the effective, efficient and timely delivery of information. Below is a sample of activities:
    * Analyze and/or produce various monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial and management reporting deliverables; creation and dissemination of ad-hoc reports as directed by senior management
    * Work on the annual planning process with various stakeholders
    * Ensure design and operating effectiveness of internal controls
    * Serve as a trusted advisor while making data-driven decisions and recommendations to the business
    * Developing persuasive and compelling materials to present findings and recommendations to senior management

Qualifications

The candidate should have extensive experience in providing monthly financial analysis that highlights key drivers and dependencies impacting results and the overall health of the organization. The candidate should also have experience managing small high-performing teams and developing junior resources, a good working knowledge of financial systems and processes, as well as experience with managing extremely large data-sets and using aggregation tools to consolidate data into meaningful reporting views. The candidate should have familiarity with streamlining financial processes to minimize delivery timelines. In addition, the candidate should possess the following:
    * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Finance; CPA/MBA preferred
    * 4+ years’ experience in financial management / accounting environment with previous experience supporting Technology organizations preferred
    * Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint; experience with Clarity, Essbase, SAP and Tableau preferred
    * Past leadership experience
    * Detail oriented individual capable of completing reporting and analytics accurately, on a timely basis, and in a presentable manner
    * Capacity and desire to work both at a strategic and detailed analysis level
    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary
    * Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner that tells the story behind financials in a compelling way
    * Individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team situation
    * Excellent time management skills and ability to multi task
    * Self-motivated individual to go beyond immediate responsibilities
