AWM - Private Bank - Finance Analysis - Essbase Reporting - Senior Associate

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position is within Global Wealth Management, a part of the Asset Management LOB. Desired candidate will work closely with business unit CFOs to analyze requirements for financial reporting and propose technical solutions. This role reports into the Essbase Solutions Team and is focused on delivering information via Essbase OLAP cubes and SQL Server 2008 for key financial reporting to our users within Private Banking finance. Key responsibilities will include the development, maintenance, support and operations surrounding these environments. A combination of technical, analytical, communication and leadership skills will be required. Candidates should be comfortable performing a spectrum of tasks from performing BAU activities, to providing investigative analysis or development.

 

Job Responsibilities:

    * Partner across finance to develop and optimize data mining and analytics for financial trends and initiatives

    * Aggregate and mine new and existing data sources to make them available for reporting and analytics

    * Develop clear and concise reports that identify strategic information and provide recommendations for performance improvement

    * Lead MIS initiatives/ impacts and results discussions

    * Work within the existing data infrastructure to enhance the data available in our repository and optimize ongoing processes

    * Partner with finance and MIS teams to ensure the consistency and accuracy of data and reporting

    * Production support for the Essbase and SQL Server 2019 environments (such as security, scheduled job maintenance, general close/trouble shooting and performing quality control steps to ensure the accuracy of data).

    * Development duties within the Essbase and SQL Server 2019 environments (such as current state improvements and the creation of new applications).

    * Partner with the business to provide analytical and reporting support throughout the month.

    * Must be detail oriented, creative, innovative, and enjoy a fast paced challenging environment. Must enjoy working as a member of a team and posses the ability to work independently.  Experience in relational database platforms such as SQL Server is a required plus. Aptitude to learn new technologies is a must.

Qualification:

Master's degree in Computer related major (i.e. Computer Science, Information Systems etc.,) plus 3 year of experience or 5 years of relevant work experience will be required. The following will be heavily relied upon but may vary depending upon experience:

    * Minimum 3+ years of relevant Essbase work experience

    * Minimum 3+ years of experience in SQL Server 20212 or 2019 is required

    * Minimum 3+ years of experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is required

    * Minimum 2+ years of experience in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is preferred

    * 4+ years of Private Banking Line of Business or retail platform experience is preferred

    * 2+ years of project management experience is required.
